Base Mortars: Thick leveling bed alternatives with premium performance options
OBP Deck Mud is a dry, factory-blended mortar of cement and sand designed to produce high strength, thick, leveling mortar beds. Paired with an appropriate VBM mortar for bonding, Deck Mud is the ideal underlayment for flooring, countertops, driveways, patios, stone landscapes, and anywhere a thick bed leveling mortar is specified. 2” min – 4” max wire mesh must be used for any installation over 2”. Deck Mud may be used as a setting bed mortar for exposed stone landscapes and similar applications. Deck Mud should not be used as a bonding mortar.
