About the Project
Throughout this beautiful Los Angeles private residence, concrete block is the backbone for creative structural support – both outside and inside the home.
Set on a sloped hill, CMU actively sweeps across both the lower and upper levels of the property, serving as your guide from the garage to the top level. Warm and inviting Natural Gray block transitions into bold and stylish Jet Black on the upper levels, glittering with exposed aggregate from the burnished finish. Shared CMU walls running through the exterior and interior of the home carve out rooms and secluded patio space in a daring approach to concrete masonry design. The flexibility of CMU is shown in full force in this project, demonstrating how concrete block can easily serve as the design accent defining the home’s personality.
